How to use CONTENT to sell Direct Response Health Products

this 267 email swipe file shows how it's done

We've been loyal readers of Mike Geary's "Truth About Abs" & Nutrition Watchdog emails/blog posts for years now.

(Over a decade at this point!)

And if you're looking to ways to leverage high-quality CONTENT to sell more Direct Response health products…

You’re going to want to pay close attention:

Inside of the Funnel of the Week Members Area we just shared a swipe file with every email we've been sent on this list in the past year (over 266 emails):

Now there’s a ton to be learned from this past year’s emails.

Here’s one interesting takeaway:

How many emails drive to CONTENT.

Here's the overall breakdown we're seeing for this past year's emails:

Yes there are plenty of short emails driving to VSLs (see the full breakdown of which offers got promoted most, inside the Funnel of the Week Members Area)

...But that's A LOT of clicks pointed at high quality blog posts.

Here are some takeaways from a typical content blog post:

You'll see:

  1. Listicle content (clickable, easy to consume and inherently valuable)

  1. banner ads for partner company products (like PaleoHacks' cookbooks (which we covered in deep detail in a recent Funnel of the Week breakdown...)

  1. ad network banner ads (from networks like Google Display, Adspeed)

  1. Reference links for any studies referenced

This is crucial and points to a big reason why this email list has been so successful for so long:

These blog posts are high quality content that is inherently valuable to the audience, packed with actionable info that keeps readers informed (and clicking to engage again and again.)

There’s a lot more to be learned from studying this year’s emails from Truth About Abs…

Enjoy!

Btw - here’s the email we sent a couple weeks back all about the Paleohacks email swipe file - also very relevant if you’re looking to up your email marketing game:

Could your email list be more profitable?

Here's the cold, hard truth:

If you run any kind of health offer, you're probably leaving money on the table when it comes to email marketing...

...Especially if you compare yourself to a company like Paleohacks.

Paleohacks generates over $11M/year, mostly via their incredible back-end email marketing.

We grabbed ALL 722 emails they've sent us over the past 1+ years, and packaged it into a single mega-PDF here:

Plus - we broke down their #1 internal offer:

A "Free + Shipping" $10.95 info product with a $122 cart value:
