3 "weird" AOV-boosters from this DTC shoe powerhouse

Including an affiliate mega-offer you can plug into nearly any funnel, today...

Comfort OrthoWear is a beast in the DTC shoe space.

Check the traffic stats:

That’s over 1 million visits per month.

Now, of course, Comfort OrthoWear is doing a ton of things incredibly well, like…

  • the 7 different advertorials they're currently running…

  • The unique way they use bundles, package deals, and even "free money" in the upsell funnel…

(and a whole lot more we cover inside this week's Funnel of the Week breakdown)

But for this email, let's focus on 3 “weird” ways Comfort OrthoWear adds Average Order Value (AOV) in their funnel…

“Weird” AOV Booster #1 - Checkout Page “2nd Try” Order Bumps

Typically, you’ll see order bumps on the PDP or sales page. And Comfort Orthowear definitely does this.

But what you don’t typically see, is seeing more of these same order bumps again, on the checkout page.

First, you’ll see this scrollable order bump:

(There are a few order bump offers in this scrollable feature that weren’t present on the sales page, fwiw)

Next you’ll also see a 2nd chance to claim the order insurance that they tried to sell on the sales page:

“Weird” AOV Booster #2 - Post Upsell Funnel Order Bump: “Size Guarantee Protection”

Just because the upsell funnel is finished and you find yourself on the post-purchase thank you page…

…Doesn’t mean Comfort OrthoWear is done selling to you.

Let’s see a couple “order bumps” they try to sell AFTER the purchase funnel is complete.

Here’s our first candidate: this clever “Size Guarantee Warranty”

And the next one is something that you can add to pretty much any general b2c type product…

“Weird” AOV Booster #3 - Post Upsell Funnel Order Bump: Captial One $40 CPA Offer

Here on the Thank you page as well we see an offer for “Free Money” essentially:

Every time someone signs up to Capital One’s extension?

They get $40 in rewards and you get $40 in commissions:

Try plugging these into your funnel and see what happens!
