DTC ecomm brand Nooro’s funnels are a masterclass in maximizing average order value (AOV). 

We had Matt Matorano on a Funnel of the Week episode recently to review a ecomm company who happens to use his funnel software, Checkout Champ.

Nooro sends to a variety of advertorials like this one:

When you click on the CTA in that advertorial, you’re sent to the Nooro sales page:

And when you click on that “Get 50% off today only”...

You’re taken to the order page where you’ll see hit with the first major AOV booster.

AOV Booster #1 -  The Bundle Discount

Instead of trying to sell a single unit…

Nooro presents several bundle options out of the gate - to get more Nooro units into your hands and more revenue into their pockets.

Here’s how it looks:

Notice how the pricing is positioned around the per-unit price - so the bigger the bundle, the bigger the discount on a per-unit basis.

(strengthening the appeal of spending more to save more)

And btw - if you “cheap out” and order just one unit?

Spoiler alert:

The problem with many ecommerce products (even some of the best ones) is this:

They are “one-and-done” products.

In Ridge’s case, wallets are something most people buy only every 7 years.

Ridge’s solution to boosting Lifetime Revenue (LTV) was not in trying to sell more wallets to their customers.

It was adding a ton more SKUs - more products -  to sell to those existing customers who came in on a wallet purchase.

(They’re now selling luggage, a full array of “EDC” items, and a whole lot more)

If Nooro was dumb/lazy, they could have stopped at just selling a one-off product. And they would have missed out on a ton of revenue.
